Fiona Elizabeth Bruce

Fiona Elizabeth Bruce is a British journalist, newsreader and television presenter. Born in Singapore, Bruce is the youngest child of the family with two elder brothers. She attended Gayton Primary School in Wirral and later the International School of Milan. After that, she spent four years at Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham College in New Cross, London.

After her studies at the University of London Institute in Paris, she worked for a year in management consulting but did not feel satisfied with her job. Her next few jobs were for advertising agencies, and in 1989 landed a job with the BBC as a researcher for Panorama.


She is the first female newsreader on BBC News at Ten, also presenting other programs such as BBC News at Six, Crimewatch, Real Story, Antiques Roadshow, and Fake or Fortune.


In 2007 and 2010 she wrote and presented documentaries about Cherie Blair and Victoria: A Royal Love Story on BBC. On 10 January 2019, started presenting BBC One television programme Question Time


She continued working on BBC television series Fake and Fortune and her experience about documentaries continued in 2011. Bruce wrote and presented a three-part documentary for Queen Elizabeth, followed by another documentary for Leonardo Da Vinci in 2012.
